Anthony Gugino stepped into his role in August 2021 initially working for Liberty Athletics as the COVID-19 Coordinator. Gugino has since transitioned and now primarily works with Women's Lacrosse, Women's Tennis, and assists with Liberty football.

Prior to joining Liberty's staff, Gugino graduated from Marywood University with a bachelor's degree in athletic training in 2021. He then earned his master's degree in Exercise Science: Human Performance from Liberty in December 2023.
